Meet Dr Cassidy

Dr. Dan Cassidy, DDS, a native of Northern Virginia, is a graduate of James Madison University, and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University.

Since graduating from dental school in 1998, Dr. Cassidy has been dedicated to Continuing Education, taking advanced courses in Comprehensive Dentistry, Dental Implants and courses on Snoring and Sleep Apnea. Dr. Cassidy has studied at the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington and the Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida. These comprehensive courses involve aesthetics, occlusion and restorative dentistry. Through his dedication to Continuing Education, Dr. Cassidy is able to utilize the latest and most up-to-date information to help his patients make informed decisions regarding their oral health care. His goal is to provide the best care at the highest standards. Over the years Dr. Cassidy has proudly served patients in his Alexandria practice by providing preventative and restorative dental care. He enjoys helping his patients restore their mouths to optimal health and function, including restoring dental implants.

Dr. Cassidy has served as a part time clinical faculty member at the Medical College of Virginia, School of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association , Northern Virginia Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association, and the Alexandria Dental Society. Dr. Cassidy has served as the President of the Alexandria Dental Society and served on the Young Alumni Council of Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Dentistry. Dr. Cassidy has continued to be recognized as one of the Top Dentists in the area by the Washingtonian Magazine, and Virginia Living Magazine.

Dr. Cassidy met his wife Jenny, who is a dental hygienist, while they were both attending dental school Richmond, VA. They live with their children in the area. While in dental school, Dr. Cassidy volunteered as a dental assistant at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic in Annandale. Today his volunteer work continues; together Dr. Cassidy, Jenny and his staff have all volunteered dental services at the clinic, and the Mission of Mercy (MOM) Project. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Cassidy enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and exercise.
